Internet Explorer 9 Test Drive

I just received Microsoft email on Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview launch.  This platform preview release does not look like a browser. It show next generation web technologies Microsoft going to add on Internet Explorer 9. They may include more features later. The application dashboard divided in three sections below.

Speed Demos – This section demonstrate speed performance of IE for flying images, animation and zooming. This section also show you how fast IE9 execute java script. The new upgraded java script engine provide faster experience then before.

HTML5 Demos – This section demonstrate next generation web standards such as HTML5. They are going to add border radius property that was only included Firefox and other browser based on gecko engine.

Graphics Demos – This section demonstrate next generation graphics demo based on GPU powered HTML5 web standard. GPU is basically sub-pixel powered technology built using Windows 7 Direct2D and DirectWrite for smooth transition.
